Francis SCHNEIDER [Parents] was born 12 Jun 1866 in Credit River, Minn. He died 23 Feb 1938 in St. Paul, Minn. Francis married Ellen LANG on 14 Oct 1889 in Credit River, Minn.

When Francis was 12 his father died, leaving his mother and
eight

children.  The burden of opening new land, almost all timbered,
fell

to Francis and his brother Matt.  At that time the principal
income

for families in eastern Credit River Township was from cutting
and

marketing wood.  Matt and Francis hauled most of their wood to

Farmington, where they sold it to F. H. Griebe and Mike Moes.
Some

years later Francis' mother and some of the children moved to a
farm

in Missouri, leaving Francis, Matt, and their sisters Kate and
Mary to

operate the old homestead.

In 1904 Francis sold his interest in the farm to his brother
Matt, and

he and his wife moved to her former home, the old Lang
homestead.

In 1922 they rented the Lang farm and moved to St. Paul for two
years.

After that they lived in Farmington for ten years.  In the fall
of

1934 Mr and Mrs Schneider and their son Frank returned to their
farm

in Credit River, but had to stop after a year and a half due to
ill

health.

Ellen LANG [Parents] was born 18 Jul 1865 in Quebec, Canada. She married Francis SCHNEIDER on 14 Oct 1889 in Credit River, Minn.

The Lang family moved from Canada to the United States, and
settled in

Credit River in 1866, making it their permanent home.

They had the following children:

Patrick Melvin FARICY [Parents] was born 19 Jun 1889 in Credit River, Minn. He died 23 Jun 1976 in St. Paul, Minn. Patrick married Mary Genevieve SCHNEIDER on 2 Jun 1915.

Patrick was baptized 30 Jun 1889 in Credit River, Minn.

BAPTISM: Baptised at St Peters Church.

According to Son's (Robert F.) obituary Patrick ran a hardware
store in Farmington from 1919 to 1922.  They moved to St. Paul
in 1923.

Mary Genevieve SCHNEIDER [Parents] was born 14 Jul 1890 in Credit River, Minn. She died 18 Mar 1976 in St. Paul, Minn. Mary married Patrick Melvin FARICY on 2 Jun 1915.

Mary was baptized 28 Jul 1890.

Robert J FARICY [Parents] was born 9 May 1856 in Credit River, Minn. He died 19 Oct 1933 in Ramsey County, Minn. Robert married Rose Ellen WHITE on 22 Feb 1881 in Credit River, Minn.

Robert was believed to be the first white male child born in
Credit River Township.

Robert started as a farmer, but because of his great interest in
county affairs was elected to serve two terms as representative
in the Legislature in 1887 and 1889.  In 1920 he retired and
moved to St. Paul, where he lived until he passed away.

Rose Ellen WHITE [Parents] was born 27 May 1860 in Credit River, Minn. She died 13 May 1916 in Scott county, Minn. Rose married Robert J FARICY on 22 Feb 1881 in Credit River, Minn.

Raymond MCCOURTNEY [Parents] was born 3 Apr 1909 in Minnesota. He died 28 Oct 1986 in Ramsey County, Minn. Raymond married Rosemarie FARICY on 14 Oct 1939.

Rosemarie FARICY [Parents] was born 22 May 1918. She died 11 Mar 1977 in St. Paul, Minn. Rosemarie married Raymond MCCOURTNEY on 14 Oct 1939.

Glen BUNTROCK [Parents] was born 9 Jun 1939 in Bismarck Township, Sibley Cty, MN. He died 18 Jan 2003 in St. Louis Park, MN and was buried 21 Jan 2003 in Winthrop, MN. Glen married Susan Ethel WHITNEY on 25 Aug 1962 in Winthrop, Minn.

Glenn Buntrock,63, of Winthrop, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, Minn.
   Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003, at 11 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Bismarck Township. Interment will be in the Winthrop Cemetery, with full military rites by the Winthrop Honor Guard.
  Visitation will be Monday from 4-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 7:30-8:30 a.m. at the Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Winthrop. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the services at the church on Tuesday.
  Glenn Delford Buntrock was born June 9, 1939, in Bismarck Township, Minnesota. He was the son of Herbert and Della (Habeck) Buntrock. Glenn was baptized as an infant and later was confirmed in his faith as a youth at St. John's Lutheran Church in Bismarck Township. Glenn received his education in Winthrop and graduated from Winthrop High School in 1957. In 1956, Glenn enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserves. He served his country and received an honorable discharge in 1964.
  Glenn was united in marriage with Sue Whitney on Aug. 25, 1962, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Winthrop. This union was blessed with two sons and two daughters. Glenn and Sue made their home in Winthrop where they celebrated over 40 years of marriage together.
  Glenn worked at Shaw Tiling in Gaylord, Lloyd Lumber in Mankato, and the Winthrop Milk Plant for some time before owning and operating a tree and stump removal business. He also owned and operated the Winthrop Bowling Alley from 1973 until recently selling it in 2000. Glenn also drove school bus for Winthrop and GFW since 1974.
  Glenn was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Bismarck Township. He was also a member of Winthrop American Legion Post 314, the Winthrop Lions Club, the Winthrop Honor Guard, and the Winthrop Area Chamber of Commerce where he was one of the 2002 Honorees. Glenn was also a retired member of the Winthrop Fire Department.
  Glenn enjoyed hunting earlier in his life. More recently, he enjoyed dancing, bingo, golf, bowling, horseshoes, softball, and playing cards.
  Glenn is survived by his wife,Sue Buntrock of Winthrop; sons, Dan Buntrock and his wife Patti of Hutchinson, Bill Buntrock and his partner Eileen Dording, of Casper, Wyo.; daughters, Jennie Rettmann and her husband Mike of Winthrop, Minn., Jackie Rasmussen and her husband Scott of Avon, Minn.; grandchildren, Seth, Hailey, Brittany, Jordan, and Cassidy; sister Dorothy Grack; one niece; eight nephews, other relatives and friends.
   Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Della Buntrock.

Kolon Friedrich Heinrich VIETH [Parents] was born 10 Oct 1801 in Meierberg Lippe Germany. He died 26 Nov 1872 in Meierberg Lippe Germany. Kolon married Anne Maria Louise ANGERMANN on 10 Jul 1834 in Almena Lippe Germany.

Anne Maria Louise ANGERMANN was born 16 Feb 1801 in Lippe, Germany. She died 15 Dec 1846 in Meierberg Lippe Germany. Anne married Kolon Friedrich Heinrich VIETH on 10 Jul 1834 in Almena Lippe Germany.

Anne Maria Catherina FRIEDRICHS was born 26 Aug 1793 in Asmissen Germany. She died 24 Apr 1868. Anne married BEGEMANN.

They had the following children:

Irving G WHITNEY [Parents] was born 4 Mar 1836 in Highgate, Vt.. He died 27 Jun 1907 in Alden, IA. Irving married Adaline DAVIS on 15 Apr 1865 in Alden, Iowa.

Giles and Andrew came to Alden in 1857.  Giles made three trips to the Rocky Mountains during the time that gold was being found
there.  In the spring of 1860 he made his first tour of inspection of Pikes Peak, accompanied by Messrs Sibley and
Thompson, and John W Kinney, father of Chris and Clark Kinney of Buckeye.  Council Bluffs was the outfitting point at that time,
and Julesberg was the place of disappointment for many.  He once saw two partners divide there, one turning back.  They even sawed the wagon in half, each taking a set of wheels.  The first trip was disastrous.  He returned and spent the winter at the 'American House' in Alden,
then under the management of M J Davis; returned to Colorado in the spring and stayed for a year and a half.  The third trip the
Alden party joined up with the Bozeman train and continued to Virginia City.  He returned to Alden in 1865 and married Adaline
Davis, daughter of M J Davis.  They had moved to Alden in 1857 from Michigan.

Adaline DAVIS [Parents] was born 17 May 1844 in Ionia, Mich. She died 14 Nov 1932 in Alden, IA. Adaline married Irving G WHITNEY on 15 Apr 1865 in Alden, Iowa.

Adaline was living with Millie and Louis Stebes when the 1920 US
Census was recorded.
