Nathan WHITNEY [Parents] was born 1793 in Clarendon, Vt. He married Abigail WHITNEY.

He was born in Clarendon, Vt., but moved to Canada with his

parents whenquite young.  He was a farmer and resided in St.

Armand, Canada, until hisreturn to the states, when he settled
in

Franklin, Vt.  There were two morechildren named in the

genealogy, John and Nathan, but there was no moreinformation
than

their names.

Abigail WHITNEY married Nathan WHITNEY.

They had the following children:

		M	i	Edward C WHITNEY was born 22 Oct 1817.
		M	ii	Oliver Cromwell WHITNEY was born 26 Apr 1826.
		F	iii	Olive WHITNEY was born 15 Dec 1819 and died 1854.
		F	iv	Abigail (daughter) WHITNEY.
		F	v	Harriet Rebecca WHITNEY was born 6 May 1834.

Susanna WHITNEY [Parents] married ? BARRINGER.

Susanna is listed as having three sons.  Only two are listed by
name

in the genealogy.

They had the following children:

		M	ii	Nelson BARRINGER.

Lydia WHITNEY [Parents] married ? MILLER.

Henry Mason WHITNEY [Parents] was born 19 Jul 1806. He died 12 Nov 1878 in hampden, Ohio. Henry married Maria WOOD.

In his early life he learned the shoemakers trade, which he

followed forabout thirty years when he took up farming and left

his trade, finding it tooconfining.  He moved to Schroon, Essex

Co, NY for a number of years, and thento Rochester NY, where he

married. He also lived in Erie, Penn, Painseville,Ohio, and

Chardon, Ohio. He finally purchsed a farm in Hampden, Geauga

Co,Ohio where he lived until he died at the age of 71.  He owned

his own home athis death and left a widow and five children.

Maria WOOD married Henry Mason WHITNEY.

Edward C WHITNEY [Parents] was born 22 Oct 1817 in St.Armand Canada. He married Elvira T YAW on 12 Dec 1839 in E. Franklin, Vt.

Also married Eunice Brewster (Oct. 1857) and Martha York.  He
had

sevenchildren, Marsella J, Cordelia C, Hannibal H, Edward

Charles, John E,Addelade O, and Mortimer

Elvira T YAW was born 5 Dec 1820. She died 10 Jul 1854. Elvira married Edward C WHITNEY on 12 Dec 1839 in E. Franklin, Vt.

Oliver Cromwell WHITNEY [Parents] was born 26 Apr 1826 in Swanton, VT. He married Harriet WILLIAMS on 11 Oct 1849 in Sheldon, VT.

He also married Josephine Parnell (b. England 8/6/1836) at
Galena

on12/25/1854.  He had eleven children; Weston, Olive, Frank A,

Hattie A, OliveJ, Jean D, Edna S, Anna, Charles E, Josephine M,

Mabel, and Ray E.

Harriet WILLIAMS was born 3 May 1829. She died 31 Mar 1854 in Galena, Ill. Harriet married Oliver Cromwell WHITNEY on 11 Oct 1849 in Sheldon, VT.

William HEYER was born 29 Jun 1820 in Province of Quebec. He died 25 Jun 1889. William married Olive WHITNEY on 17 Oct 1840 in Franklin, VT.

Olive WHITNEY [Parents] was born 15 Dec 1819. She died 1854. Olive married William HEYER on 17 Oct 1840 in Franklin, VT.

Her husband, William Heyer, was a farmer.  Their children were:

Julia Elmina(b. 02/01/1844, m. H.H.Eldred 11/28/1861), they

resided at East Enosburgh,Vt.; Sarah Allen (b. 07/07/1849, m.
Dr.

O.W. Roberts 08/20/1867), theyresided at 24 Thompsion St.,

Springfield Mass.

William WHITNEY married Harriet Rebecca WHITNEY.

Harriet Rebecca WHITNEY [Parents] was born 6 May 1834. She married William WHITNEY.

Merrick H GIBBS was born 21 Dec 1815. He died 7 Oct 1878. Merrick married Mercy Maria WHITNEY.

He was a chairmaker.  They resided at Gardner, Mass.

Mercy Maria WHITNEY [Parents] was born 7 Apr 1815. She died 8 Dec 1892. Mercy married Merrick H GIBBS.

Their children were: M Wallace (b.07/18/1846, m.Lydia A

Whitman,d.10/07/1878), Kate M (b. 09/26/1848, m. T Edward
Gates).

Kate and herhusband also resided at Gardner, Mass.
